Trimester 1 awards will be on Friday, January 23rd.
Students receiving awards will also receive a cookie.
The PTO is asking for donations of packaged Costco Chocolate Chunk Cookies.
Please sign up here to donate.
Please note that we are asking specifically for the Costco Chocolate Chunk Cookies from the bakery that are packaged in the clamshell and contain 24 cookies.
Please deliver your donation to the Front Office by Tuesday, January 20th.

The PTO is collecting donations to stock the Shahala Eagle Store.
Students will be able to purchase the merchandise using the Eagle Bucks that they earn at school. Students can also save up their Eagle Bucks to purchase raffle tickets and enter to win the monthly raffle prize drawing.

SAVE THE DATE! 8th Grade Celebration 6/18/2026
Save the Date! 8th Grade Farewell Celebration
On Thursday, June 18th, we will be celebrating with our 8th grade students from 1:30 PM to 4:05 PM at Shahala Middle School.
The cost of this event is $20.00. Each $20.00 ticket includes a trip to the Kona Ice Truck, a special dessert, unlimited activities and games with prizes, and a photo booth & free pictures.
Students will also have a BBQ lunch option, and we will have a special motivational guest speaker.
All 8th graders (no ticket purchase required) will receive a gift thanks to the generous donations received from our community partners.
Shahala student behavior expectations apply at this event.
More information will be coming out later in the Spring about this event.
Please note that this has been pushed back one day due to the school closure on 12/17/2025. The date is subject to additional change due to possible future snow days.

A message from our Principal, Chris Griffith
I'm excited to extend a warm invitation to a new monthly event I’m calling Coffee with Chris to all interested parents.
Join me for a casual conversation to discuss the future of our students. This is a great opportunity for us to connect informally. I'd love to hear your hopes, dreams, and aspirations for your children as they navigate these pivotal middle school years.
If you can’t make it this month, no worries, maybe next month will work better. I will vary the times of these meetings throughout the year to try and accommodate a variety of schedules.
